The Health field
These fields apply to: Grade 12 from academic year 2025/2026 onward. The list follows the instructions recorded in the site rules.
The Health field has three fixed subjects and one further examinable subject you choose from the available list.
What this field is like
The Health field has three fixed subjects and no group to choose from: Chemistry, Biology and advanced English. That leaves a single further examinable subject and nothing else to decide, which makes it the most tightly specified of the six — you know from the first day what your year looks like.
The weight of that year sits on two sciences that work very differently. Chemistry rewards solving and calculation and builds rule on rule; Biology rewards structured understanding and recall of the human body and its systems. A student who is strong in one and weak in the other feels it all year, because neither can be dropped.
Grade-12 subjects
Fixed subjects
| Subject | Max |
|---|---|
| Chemistry | 175 |
| Biology | 175 |
| English (advanced) | 175 |
Further examinable subject
Your fourth subject is chosen from the examinable subjects, and that list is the same whichever field you are in. It is set out in full, split into sciences and humanities, on the fields page. See the full list of examinable subjects
Do not repeat a subject: every choice must differ from the fixed subjects and the other choices.
Choosing within this field
The Health field gives you no group to choose from, so your only decision is the further examinable subject. That makes the choice lighter than it is elsewhere, but not weightless.
The practical rule is to pick something you can actually perform well in rather than something that looks impressive on paper. Your fixed subjects will take most of your time; the one you choose is what is left of your room to manoeuvre, so it should be something you have a feel for and that survives the time you have left.

Open to every student on the academic track, whatever your field: Programmes in the faculties of Arts, Design, Culinary Arts and Sports Education, except Sports Rehabilitation at the Hashemite University.
These are faculties and programmes rather than a list of individual majors, and they come from an admission policy that is reissued every year, so they can change. This page states no admission averages and no minimum marks; those come from the universities and the admission authority. The authoritative text is the policy itself: Jordanian universities admission policy (PDF)
Qualifying for this field
Qualifying for any field is passing year one and nothing else: every grade 11 subject must reach 40% of its maximum. No field has a minimum mark of its own.
How your average is calculated in this field
Year two has four subjects, each out of 175: 700 marks become 70 points of your average, added to 30 points from year one. The field fixes the subjects, not the arithmetic.

The other fields
Each field has its own subjects and faculties. These are the rest of the six:
This page describes the subjects in this field and the faculties it lets you apply to. It does not cover competitive admission averages, which come from the universities and the admission authority. The calculator is unofficial and anticipated, and does not model the التكميلي resit.
